and temporary—twice tlio disease proved nearly fa-

TRACT OF SARSAPARILLA. AND
QUEEN’S DELIGHT, io.—For Ilia com||o,i
turn of this Extract and the properties ofihoOueejia
Delight, Physicians are respectfully referred to 1 the
Oth and 6th number, vol I, of the Southern Jour-
ual ofModiaineand Pharmacy.
For purilyiug the blood, aud removinj alt dis
eases arisiog from the Impurity of the same, it is
highly reeduimaiided, as also fur the euro of Rheu
matism, Scrofula, Erysipelas, Ulcerations of t^e
Throat and legs, pains nud swellings of the bones,
” ‘ ?1( r 1 I ’ '“** *
Tetters, Pimples in the Face, Old Sores, and all
CutaneousEruplions, Neuralgic Affections, Mer-
cuiial Diseases, and lor assisting the operation and
preventing fatal couioqueuces of Alercurials in
Syplialiii.
This preparation, (by adding the Queen's De
light, &o. to Uie Sarsaparillu,) couibiues in a mure
perfect degree than any kuuwu remedy, tonic and
alterative powers, and is highly recommended by
eminent physicians. It is prepared in cousequenee
of the recoinmenations given by Dr II R Frost,
Professor of Materia Medica in the Medical Col-
lego of Charleston, S S, iu his work on Materia
Medica, only concentrated by a process of (lie sub
scriber's to render it more convenient for admin
istration, and with the exception of the addition
nf uinreiiry which may at all limes be added when
necessary. To thow the high estimation whinh
Dr F entertains of tho combination of these arti
cles,it is only necossary to refor to the above men
tioned work.
There are few cases of chronic and painful Rheu
matism that will not yield lo the influence of Sar
saparilla and Queen’s Delight, if duly porsevered
in, especially if taken iu conjunction with Hydr
of Potash.
Is highly recommended for all diseasos of the
■kin, chronic as well as recent. One hollle will,
in most instances, effectually Zernova nil pimples,
po-tulea nr biotclieson the luce, to which young
persons iu this climate are so much subjected to,
arising either from impurity of the blood or debil
ity. It is the best remedy known for scrofulous
affections, sores and breakings out in young chil
dren, and is safe and efficacious in.removing en
tirely every trace of hereditary diseases from the
system, in tho tendcrest infunt; in fuel, in all euta-
noous alfuciious it is iuvuluuble. As a general pu
rifier of the blood, and an eradicutor of all obsti
nate diseases, this preparation will undoubtedly
take tho precedence of all other remedies. Itgoiil-
ly operates upon and regulates the bowals, re
stores to the blood its wonted purity, gives touelo
tho stoinnch, an I promotes digestion.
It will effectually relieve Erysipelas even in Its
worst stages, and all persons suffering from this
distressing complaint are advised to nao it, first so,
but if no marked relief be found ufter taking one
bottle, it will be necessary to uso the Hydriodated
Potash with it.
