These worms, to which the human sytem is liable, are
most troublesome of all others. They are generally to be
found in the rectum, nnd if allowed to remain, from the ir

New York Crystal Pnlace.
The manager* of the •• New York Crystal Palaco
for the Exhibition of the Industry of all Nations,” it I
no longer to bo concealed, nre not the master* nr their
situation. They have excited expectations which will
cause a degree of disappointment. Wo say this with
reluctauce ; but the credit of the country is daily be
coming more compromised. * * * * *
Down to this very twenty llftli day of May, no pro
per official communication bus been made to tlio
world that the Exhibition was not opened on tho 2d
of May as promised, nor any explanation why it was
not, nor any intimation when it will be opened. This
mode of management, when contrasted with tlio en
ergy and punctuality of the London Exhibition, is
positively humiliating. The movers in tills enterpriho
had all the advantage of tlio new architectural prin
ciples established by the Hyde I'urk cxiierimuut; the
building they hud toerect wasnotonc-eiglitli us large,
and their supply of means was ample ; and yet the
time which fully served for the other, they have
iound fnr too scant for them.—N. Y. Courier and
Enquirer, May, lath.
Such is an extract from an editorial article, in ono
of the leading journals of Now York, regarding that
“ national disgrace,” the New York Crystal Palace.
The article sneaks freely of the faults of this " private
speculation,’’asserting of it, as realized facts what
we predicted months ug». Tlmt it will be vastly in
ferior to the Loudon one, and. so do a positive Injury
to tho renntutioii of America, tlmt it Is badly con
ducted, and tlmt it will bo late opening, are among
the least of its evils; according to the Courier, Even
tin- Dublin Exhibition it appears, is fur handsomer
than the “ New York one will be. But, us Gotbera
says, vivo la humbug I”—Phil, Bulletin.
Tub New York Crystal 1'ai.ack.—It is impossi
ble to say, ns yet, whether the exhibition will open.
A comparatively short time would suffice to linish tho
main structure, but several weeks must elapse before
it can lie completed in all its parts,—the machinery
arranged and put in working order.—tlio goods en
tered ami prepared for exhibition. Thin unexpected
delay is unfortunate and mortifying, and many indi
viduals, botli at homo and abroad, will experience se
rious disappointment. In consequence of this delay,
or for some other reason, Crystal Palace Stock, which
at one time sold as high as 175, was yesterday down
to 112. Even at its present state, the Palace is an in
teresting object of curiosity, mid has already attract
ed to tho city many visitors.—A'. Y. Journal of Com
merce, May 20>.
Tur. Injured.— We are gratified to be able to state,
tlmt all of thoso injured liv the lute calamity ut the
church, are doing well. They have recovered from
all tlio effects except the burns, and these nre doing
well. Mr. Durfeo appears to have ben the worst
burned of nny of the sufferers. Large portions of tlio
skin on his breast and sides has coino oil from the
effects of the lightning, which render! Ida situation
painful in the extreme.—Lockport Courier.
A western editor, in replying to a cotcinporary,
says :—•* It is impossible that ho can have given the
subject much * sober reflection, 1 ns he claims to have
done, for to our certain knowledge, lie lias been in
toxicated during the entire campaign.
