his district with necessary medicines, to pi ve them medical
and surgical advice and attention, to vfrit them at iholr
places of abode when necessary, on every Monday and
Thursday, to attend in person, or by competent substitute,
between the hours of 10 o’clock, A. M. and 1 P. M., for con
sultation with out-door parties, and to koen always a com
petent supply of vncclno matter for vaccinating" the poor
and to be furnished physicians, tho latter to ray a reasons
bio and proper price therefor, and to fill all prescriptions
signed by any member of the Georgia Medical Faculty,
provided each of such sprescripllnns shall set forth the
name of tho patlont and embrace a certificate that tho pa-
tiont resides within tho district of tho Dispensary PhyriclaE
to whom It is addressed.
Sec. 3. Be it further ordained by tho authority aforosald.
That the said dispensary Physicians shall be considered,
held and taken as officers of the city, and shall be liable to
the same penalties for non-performance or neglect of any
of their official duties as are now prescribed in the case of
other city officers. 4

Tliat such Dispensary Physician before entering on the du
ties of his office shall take the oath prescribed for city offi
cers. and exeoute a bond with two securities In the penal sum
of one thousand dollars.condltlonal for the faithful perform
ance of his offlee. Each Dispensary Physician shall receive
