therein mentioned.” the Pre-emption laws of tho United

reserved sections of public lands along the line of the rail
road hereinbefore mentioned, where the settlement and im
provements were made prior to the final allotment of the al
ternate sections to the said railro d. Therefore nil claims
by pre-emption to any of the alternate sections of public
lands within the limits originally reserved will attach, If
predicated upon settlements made prior to the 4th February

Claim* within the six miles limits must bo proven up at

to keep always a competent supply of vaccine matter for

ties of his office shall take the oath prescribed for city offi
cers. nnd execute a bond with two securities in the penal sum

shall receive in full compensation for medicines and ser
vices, a salary or six hundred dollars per annum, payable

deducting the flno and costa, into the City Treasury, subject
to the order of Council, who may and shall order the same
to be paid to the owner of such animal when required
