State or Georgia, entitled “An Act to authorize
Limited Partnerships,” assented to the twenty-sc*
cond day or December, in the year 1837: to bo con
ducted under the name of CarlEpplng, for the pur
pose of transacting a Commission and General Mer
cantile business In the city of Savannah and Stale of
Georgia.
Carl Kpping, of Savannah, will be the general
partner, and George W Garmauy, of Savannah,
who has contributed Fifty Thousand Dollars, in
cash, to the common stock, wiU be special partner.
The justness to commence the first day or August,
in the ytar eighteen hundred and flfty-elx, and (t
terminate oatbe first day of August eighteen fifty-
nine.

Visitors to tho Virgtuinia Springs by this route,
take the South-Side Railroad cars at Petersburg, or
the Richmond and Danville cars at Richmond, at 6
A. M.. daily, (Sundays excepted,) arrive at Lynch
burg to dinner, and thence, via the Virginia and
Tennessee Railroad, reach Bonsack’s Depot at 3 1-4,
and Salem at 4 P. M., and at either place take
Kent. SummtnA & Co’s Fine Line of
Stage*!
Those via Bonsack’s lodge at Fmcastle, dine at the
Red Sweet, or Sweet Spring, and arrive at the
White Sulphur Springs, (17 miles) early on the
evening of the second day from Petersburg, or Rich
mond, without NIGHT TRAVEL, and with but 64
miles of Staging. Or by the 8alem route, stop all
night at the Roanoke Red Sulphur Springs, (10
miles distant from Salem,) dine at the Red Sweet,
or Sweet Springs, and arrive at tho White Sulphur
Springs on the evening of tbe fellowing day.
The Virginia k Tennessee Railroad is located
through a most romantic country, possessing a cli
mate unsurpassed for its salubrity and delightful tem
perature. The road passes tho base of the
PEAKSOF OTTER!
And within three miles of the Alleghany Springs,
one mile of the Montgomery White Sulphur Springs,
and within four miles of the Yellow Sulphur Springs.
all pleosautly situated a few miles apart, on the
Eastern slope of the Alleghany mountain, in Mont
gomcry county. Tbe waters of these Springs are
celebrated for their great medicinal qualities, the ac
commodations are excellent, and have been greatly
increased since last season.
43-Visitors to the Red Sulphur Springs take
Kent. Summerson k Co's Stages at Newbern Depot,
on the evening of the day that they leave Peters
burg or Richmond, and arrive at the 8prings on the
following day to dinner, and Salt Sulphur Springs
early in tho evening of the second day from Rich
mond or Petersburg.
The Road from Newbern Depot to the Red Sul
phur Springs, (3S miles.) has been graded and
greatly improved since last season, and is now re
garded asoac of tbe best turnpikes in tho moun
tains.
The line of Telegraph from Richmond will be com
pleted and in operation to the Mootgomery White
Sulphur Springs early in June.
Passengers to Knoxville, Tennessee, take Kent,
Summcrson k Co's stages at the Western terminus
of tho Virginia k Tennessee Railroad, now 180 miles
from Lyuchburg (and being extended Westward at
tba rate ot 8 miles per mouth) to the Eastern termi
nus of the East Tennessee and Virginia Railroad,
and arrive at Knoxville ia 21-2 days from Peters
burg or Richmond.
