has greatly increased, and the salary has uot boo.,

Sec. 1. Bo it ordained by tho Mayor and Alder
men of tho City of 8avannali and tho Hamlets there
in in Council as etnbied, and - It is hereby ordained
by tho authority of tho Barao, That from aud after
tho passugo of this Ordinance the salary of the
Health Officer bo at the rate of five hundred dol
lars.

tho Health Officer (which shall bo paid by tho

For boarding any vessel lying at tlio quarantine
grouud, at Fort Jackson, two cents a ton up to 608
tons, beyond which no additional fee Khali bn

incurred for boarding any vessel shall bo paid by
tbu Health Officer, except that the city will furnish
a quarantine boa'.
For visiting and inspecting a vessel which has
