headmen of the several Indian nations in those parts.
We hear that, by orders from England, the 35th degree
of northern 1 titude is to be accounted a temporary boundary
between this province and North-Carolina in such places
-where the said boundary was not fixed to the fatisfa&ion of
both provinces.
June 4. Capt. Pearce, in fix weeks from I.ifbon, in
forms us, that the British troops had quitted that kingdom
about a’ week before he failed; and that four of the regiments
w re gone for Gibraltar, four for Minorca, and the rest for

exportation of rice from Carolina and Georgia to the Afri
can islands, will pass without any difficulty ; that it has
