Ili ExcHlencv our Governor received in express on Sun
dty from Lieut. Barnard of the rangers at Augusta, inform
ing, that, on the 24th of December, 14 people, mostly
women and children, were killed at the Long-Canes fettle
men t in South-Carolina, by a party of Indians reported to
be Creeks. As no accounts have been received from Augusta
since this express arrived, it remains uncertain by wsiom
these murders were committed.
On Tuesday his Majesty's royal proclamation, (publilhcd
in this paper of the Bth of December last) fixing the limits
and boundaries of our new acquisitions in America, was, by
order of his Excellency our Governor, declared here, itriftly
enjoining ail his Majelly’s fubjetts to a due observance of
the fame.

WHEREAS the fubferiber proposes in a few months to
depart this province, therefore desires all persons
who are anyways indebted to him to# make speedy payment,
otherwise he must put all his outstanding debts into the hands
of aft attorney; and all persons who have apy demands on
him are desired to bring in their accounts for payment.

lituate neartht Watch-houfc, adjoining Me firs. Johnson and
Wylly’s wharff on the call, and the publick wharff on the
weft, with the stores, weigh-houses, machines Sec. —A traft
of 250 acres of land, iituate in the diftridl of Savannah, at a
place called the Two Holes, about 12 miles weft from town,
formerly granted Christopher Peters.—A traft of 2to acres,
situate in the diftrift of Great Ogechee, fronting the river,
mostly swamp land, originally allotted Frederick Tritlcn.
Any person inclinable to purchafc the above goods, lands,
or lots, may treat with said James Whitcfield.

THE fuhfcriber being about to leave this province in a
very little time, gives notice to all persons indebted
to Francis Arthur and company, that there is an absolute
aeceifity for immediate payment of their refpeftive debts.

very moderate terms, containing 4750 acres, viz.
One trad iituate on North Newport river, about four
miles from Sunbury,containing goo acres, 400 ot which are
food swamp, with a fine reserve of water, a good dwclling
oufe thereon, and 80 acres of the high land cleared.
Another trad of 350 acres, on a navigable creek, within
one mile of Sunbury, good for indico and rice, about 90
acres of the high land cleared, and a dweiling-houfe theie
on, pleasantly situated. _
800 acres on Bull Town swamp, four miles from a landing.
900 acres on Newport swamp, fix miles from a landing.
500 acre, on said iwamp, seven miles from a landing.
130oaacs in St. Andrew's pari fit, two miles from a landing.
These four tall trads are principally rice land, and efteem
td inferior to none in this province, having great corneni
cncy for back water.

A trad, containing 1000 acres, known by the name of
Vale Royal, of which 220 acres is exceeding good rice land j
also 281 acres rice land opposite to it on Hutchinson’s ifland*
a large new barn, rice pounding machine by water, a good
overlecrV house, with levcr.il other improvements, * m ii e
and a half from Savannah, as well situated for plcafure and
profit as any trad in Georgia.
One trad, containing 800 acres, commonly known by
the name of the Sabine Fields, formerly Mr. Thomas Bur
rington's, about two miles and a half from Savannah, ex
ceedingly well timbered with white and red oaks, bay! and
pines, exceeding good land, at lcaft 200 acres of good rice
land, anew barn 72 feet by 64, a good dweiling-houfe, and
other improvements.
One trad, containing 330 acres, two miles from Savan
nah on the Ogechce road, chiefly high swamp, pleasantly
situated, hath on it a dweiling-houfe, barn, and other im.
provements.
One trad, containing 500 acres, on Little Ogechec, very
good, without improvements; it joins Mr. Habcrlham’s hud.
One trad, containing 1000 acres, in Halifax, frontingon
Savannah river oppofitc Matthews’s Bluff, the richell kind
of river swamp, well timbered w ith oaks and cypress. Thii
trad takes in two or three acres of high land for a fettlemcnt.
One other trad in Halifax, containing 450 acres, upon
the river, a noted place for a ferry, opposite to Mr. Blake's
barony; there is a house and improvements upon it.

plenty of oak and hickory; the rest favannah; all rich lands.
Also a TOWN LOT in Savannah, containing 60 by 180
feet, known by the letter in Heathcoat ward, not con
tiguous to any other lot, and lies between two squares near
to the intended new church.
Also a WHARFF LOT opposite to Mr. Jones's new
house.
