N Sunday lift arrived at Port-Royal, in five weeks

Letters from the country of the Creek Indians informs us
that the Hon. John Stuart, Esq. Superintcndant of the sou
thern diftritt of America, had fnmmoned all the Britilh tra
in in the country to meet him at Panfacola, on or about the
Ift day of March next, when he is to hold a congress with
the Creek Indians. The last advices from Weft Florida in
form us, that the Superintendent was then holding a con
greft at Mobille with the Chickefaw and Chaftaw Indians,
and that his Excellency Governor Johnftone was with him.
SAVANNAH, February 14.
THE True Briton, from the Havana for London, foun
dered on her pafifage. She had 40 pafTengers and
70,0001. in dollars on board * the naffengers were taken out
by people belonging to aFrench schooner in three trips, but
before thdy could make the fourth (he went down with the
mate and 13 men. Great insurance was made on her.
Thorfday last put into Tybee, the brigt. Barkley, Taylor
Stores matter, from Barbados, bound to Beaufort in South-
Carolina, and is failed again for that port.
Capt. Stark, who arrived here last Friday in seven weeks
from Cowet, about the 20th of January ult. off Madeira,
(poke with the (now Elizabeth, Davis, from London, bound
for Beaufort.
On Sunday evening the Right Hon. Lord Adam Gordon
arrived in town from South-Carolina.
Arrived from this port, the (loop Polly, Philips, at Mon
fferrat, and the schooner Industry, Walden, at St. Kitts.

RUN AWAY from Patrick Mackay’s plantation the
Hermitage, NINE NEGROE MEN, named, John
the Cooper , James, Sampson , Sap 10, Bomba John, Peter, Scrub,
Frank, and Jack. They had all on them white negroe
cloth jackets and breeches.—Twenty (hillings reward is of
fered for each of them that (hall be taken and delivered to
Mr. John Wcreaiat his plantation, or to David Montaigut
in Savannah.

THE fubferiber being about tb. leave this province in a
very little time, gives notice to all persons indebted
to Francis Arthur and company, that there is an ab(olute
neceflity for immediate payment of their refpeftive debts.
He will difpofeof fix valuable TRACTS of LAND, upon
very moderate terms, containing 4750 acres, viz.
One tradl situate on North Newport river, about four
miles from Sunbury, containing 900 acres, 400 of which are
food swamp, with a fine reserve of water, a good dwclling
oufe thereon, and 80 acres of the high land cleared.
Another traft of 350 acres, on a navigable creek, within
one mile of Sunbury, good for indico and rice, about 90
acres of the high land cleared, and a dwclling-houfe there
on, pleasantly situated.
800 acres on Bull Town swamp, four mises from a landing.
900 acres on Newport swamp, fix miles from a landing.
500 acres on said swamp, seven miles from a landing.
1300 acres in St. Andrew’s pari(h, two miles from a landing.
These four last trails are principally rice land, and eftcem
ed inferior to none in this province, having great convcni
ency for back water.

WHEREAS the fubferiber, on the 29th day of April
last, bought at publick vendue, at the Watch-houfo
in Savannah, a NEGROE WENCH named Sally, and
her TWO MULATTO CHILDREN, lately the property
of Capt. Edward Somerville deceased, seized on execution
by the provort-marlhal of this province, and fold by him by
virtue thereof: And whereas the said wench and her children
are said to be run away into the woods, the fubferiber doth
hereby offer a Reward of Forty Shillings Sterling to any person
who (hall take up the said negroe and her children, and deli
ver them to him : But whereas the fubferiber hath reason to
believe the said wench and children are harboured and con
cealed from him, he doth hgreby promise a Reward of Fbvo
Poundi Sterling to any white person who (hall give due proof
of their being so harboured or concealed; and any person
harbouring or concealing them may depend on being prose-
Cttted to the utmost severity of the law.
