Booth Informs us that the little girl, au aooount of whose visit to Augusts we oopied from the Chronicle and Sentinel into the Bun of yesterday, came to his house on ttaturfiay. tbe 10th ins taut, and requested Mr*. Booth to allow her to remain over night, saying aha bad no home, and tolling the same tale about her birth, the death of her parents, Ac., which she told in Augusta. Little Sophie Rrnlth, aged three years, daughter of O. C. aud E. M. Smith, of Griffin, died suddenly in that city on Sunday night last, of iuflamation of the stomach. 0. D. Findlay, of the great iron works at Macon, waa in Atlanta yesterday. The Star, in commenting on the probable changes which Mr. Vallandigham's death will produoe on the political situation, concludes that hie death at this time is a public oalamity. Whatever may be said of the oonree of this valuable man during the war, it Iff at least to his credit that he accepted the situation and with wisdom and zeal worthy of imitation, was first to warn the Democrats to lay ont a course by which alone perfect peace and harmony can be restored through the laud.
