Wickliffe, Auditor, etc., was taken up.— This cause was argued by Mr. W. W. Handiin for the plaintiff in ei-ror. The Court declined to bear any further argu ment in the cause. The patent of 8. W. The committee reported adversely to creating the office of Suf fragan Bishops. Several reporta upon uniformity in Ritual were mado the special order for to-morrow. General Richard N. Bowerman has been sentenced to four years in the Balti more jail and a fine of $2,000 costs, and Col. Thos. W. Wilson has been sentenced to three years, a fine and costa. San Francisco, October 10 - —Fifty thousand sheep were scattered and lost in the mountains, near Fort Tejon, by a sandstorm. . Tax payers carry the city in the judi ciary and school elections. Repnbliosus carried school and judi ciary elections throughout the State. The tax payers carriod tho city by 50,000 majority. Tho Democrats arc contesting the election in Talerno county, because the interference of Federal officials pre vented a free ballot. The case of Mrs. Fair commences in the Supreme Court the 24th.
