This is t very proper thing to be done, but they are consuming too muoh time about it. The pay of members costs the State over $2,000 per day, and over $500 per hour to listen to the speeches, which are not worth much. There is ono tiling they ought not to forget in catting down their pay—that is ■mileage. U a»ly,-costs 5 cents pes »ile ■to4ide.iM thedtaBMwd, and to allow the members more than 10 cents per mile for tbeir travel. In relation to the right to vote, tbe Nett Era cant see the difference between the President of the United States Sen ate, who is not a member, of that body, and doe* |not represent any constituency in it, and the President of the Senate.of the State of Georgia, who is a member oi the Senate and represents tbe people of his district. It is trying to sow the seeds of violence Nad lawlessness, and encouraging outrages upon peacea ble, law-abiding people, which ought to make the blush of shame tingle upon the oheek of its editor. The most rampant secessionist this State ever produced never advocated sueh open rebellion and utter disregard of law and order. Dewars.—The bill to seeover property stolen from the State, is causing some of the robbers to quake. At Isaak one of them has been trying to sell his property for a low price and on loug time.
