Kellogg’s Judge, in oompaoy with Lie

There is a report this morning that the
Kelloggites are organizing the negroes,
consequently tbe entire population are
watohful and no general engagsmsnt
has yet oeouned. Business is generally
suspended.
A large meeting •» held this evening
at Olay Statute, Canal street, and ad
dressed by Gen. Hugh J. Campbell and
others. Tbe object of the meeting was
to endorse tbe action of the people at
St. Martinsville and their batch of fifty
Metropolitans. It is stated they will
leave this evening to reioforoe St. Mar*
tiusville. The evening papers report
that Kellogg offers 8250 of State war
rants as bounty for Metropolitans tc go
to the country. The Commander o( the
Metropolitans at St. Martinsville sppesls
to Kellogg for a mounted foroe to assist
