A FIGHT WITH THB INSURGENTS.
Official telegrams from Poito Principe
reports that the Leon batalliou recently
bad a fight with the Insurgents and that
a Caban generel nume Ignacio Agrutuan
waa killed and his body brought to Porto
Principe. General Sangili is also re
ported to have been killed.
The Insurgents attacked a train on the
Porto Prinoipe Railroad and killed the
commander of the Malina fort, two cap-
t (ins and a number of soldier.

Our readers may remember that we
published on the 29th of last January an

which occurred in Taliaferro oounty, the
partienlan of whieh under date of Jan-
iry 27th, ware furnished us at the time

A little before day on Sunaay morning
two of Ibe men ewoke Mr. Wallace, in
left their camp about four o'olook, they
supposed, and not returning, they had
instituted search for him but oould find
him nowhere. Other neighbors were
aroused and a general search begun.
The body was found after light abou*
500 yards from the camp, and dome 30
yards from the Washington ro id, with
the throat out, almost severing the neck.
Ilia hat, with considerable blood on it,
was lying several feet from the pool of
blood. A knife, recognized at the knife
of the deceased, was found in his right
band, and in a position to have given tha
stroke. Jastioe Nash and a jury were
summoned and an inquest held over the
body. The verdict was, the jury* waa

White county, Georgia.
