any future contest upon so juit and equitable a

Legislature, to recognize your allegiance to the
bkffed Panee upon the throne, and the supremacy
of Parliament, thereby to establish, upon the moft

As the King and Parliament have, with an asto
nishing and unprecedented condescension, relin-
Ouilhed their just right df taxation, provided tne
Provincial Legifliture will make due provision for
defraying a reafoaable part of the expences of the
governmentof theempne at large, and for the in
ternal government of the colony, I trull that you,
Gentlemen,, in the firlt moment of our existence,

of two Negro Men Slaves, named John and Clofs,
the property of John Eatton Leconrt;<he absent
debtor, as it is said, at the house in St. James’s

LIGHT HORSE.
A LL aftrve young men, fit for Eight Horfe
** men, and willing to his Majcfty King
GEORGE, for the space of two years* or during
the present rebellion, have now a fair and kbnour
able opportunity of revenging themselves on the
authors of the many cruelties and horrid murders
committed on their relations, friends, and fellow
fubjefts; of teftifying their loyalty to the best of
Kings, and raanifefting their abhorrence and aver,
(ion to this unnatural and- unprovoked rebellion;
by applying to Lieut. Col. Qeorge Campbell,
commanding the King’s own American Regiment,
novv quartered in this town, who has power to
raise a body of light horse, to be attached to and
serve constantly with the fa’id regiment. Each loyal
and smart young recruit fhxll receive tlree guineas
bounty, and a crown to drink his Majeily’s health,
be provided with free quarters, a good horse, pay,
c’oathing, arms, accoutrements, and every other
requisite, fit for a light dragoon, such as a and
helmet, a brace of good pistols before him, a keen
edged sword by his fide, and good boots and spurs.
Thus equipped as a Gentleman Dragoon, he must
carry sure and certain viftory, acquire horfour to
himfelf, and render service to his Sovereign .and
injured Country. •'*
