Simon, a short Bender black fellow, who had one
af his legs broken above the ancle, and bends a
little inward, joe, a tall slender fellow, of a yel
low complexion. May, a short thick black fellow,
much pitted with the smallpox, particularly about
the nose. They are ail three country born and
speak good English, and are too well known in.

Savannah to fell to those (too many) who make a
pradice of buying every thing from Negroes with
out a ticket, notwithstanding every salutary jkwqf
the province to the contrary, which pernicious,
pradice almost every inhabitant within 10 or 1 5
miles of Savannah have had and yet have great
reason to lament. A reward of one half Joe will
Jje paid for each of them to any person who will

All Mailers of boats or veflels, or any other per
rons, are forewarned from receiving or carrying

A Man, who fays his name is Prince, his Wife
Venus, and their three children r they fay they
belong to one Thomas Marrowfhamps in South
Carolina. The owner of the above negroes may
have them restored on application to -

ever will deliver them, or difeover where they are
harboured, to the fubfciibcr, shall receive one

WHereas Roger Ktlfull, of St. John’s parish,
Esquire;
William Maxwell, of St. Philip’s parish, planter;
Thomas Young, of St. Jol.-fsparif]), planter;
John Fouli, of Chritt Churcn parittr, mercliant;
were severally dravvn by, ballot, and summoned to
appear as Grand Jurors at this Court, as it is said,
but they the said Roger Kelfall, William MaXwgl),
I hornas Young, and John Foulis, did refpc&ively
negled to appear at this Court; it is therefore Or
dered, That, they be severally fined in a sum not
exceeding eight pounds flerling, and that a capias
do iflue againlt each of them for such sum as they
shall be refpedively fined in, unless each of such
defaulters do shew good and fufficient cause of ex
cuse to the Judges of this Court, or one of them
at His Chambers, such excuse, to be made on oath,
before ©ne of the Jallices of the Peace of this pro
vince, within thirty days from the date hereof,
exclusive of this day. And it is further Ordered,
That a copy hereof be inferred in the Gazette cf
this province. Dated in Court* the 14th day of
July, 1781.

a sum not exceeding four pounds sterling, and that

as they fliall be refpettively fined in, Unless each of
such defauhersdo shew good and fufficient cause of
excuse to the Judges of thk.Coart, or one of them
at his Chambers, such excu'e to be made on o.lth,
before one of the Justices of the Peace of this pro

The 24th of July, 1780, advice was received at Fort
St. George, that Hyder Ali’s cavalry had entered the
Garnatiek in dig'crent places* whereupon the id
cantonnvents were ordered to aflemblc at St. Thomas’*
Moufc~j“and 3 Arong dotachmcnt under Col. Baillie, whr
commanded in the Guntoor C’ircar, was ordered to thff
Presidency. In the mean time Hyder himfelf, with the
main body ofhisarmy, entered by the pals of Changamdi*
reduced I'ollour, Chittaspet, and Arnce, and on the 2id
of August fat down before Arcot.
