TIFY, That John Marray, of the panffi of Christ
Church, in the province aforefaid, rfquire, hath made a
deposition before me, touching the right, title, and intc
reft, of him the said John Murray, of, in, and to, a cer
tain trail or parcel of land, containing by estimation one
lying on the River Savannah, in tire parilh
of Christ Church, in the said province, called the Hermi
tage, hounded north-weft€rly by lands late of James Hume,
Esquire,- fouth-eaftwardly by land allotted for the Glebe,
and northwardly by Savannah river, together with all the
j mprov&mnts, rigHt, members, and appurtenances,
thereunto belonging, claimed by the said John MurfSy by
virtue of ans under a certain deed of conveyance made and
executed to him fome time about the beginning of the year
one thousand seven hundred and seventy-six, by the then
Ailing Provost Marffial of thft province, dn consequence
fa sale made thereof, under an execution, grounded on
a judgment obtainethin the General Court of the said pro
vince against the Estate cf one David Murray, Esquire,
deceased, which said title deed was lodged in the Secreta
ry's or Register’s Office of the said province to be recorded,
and afterwards, with diver* other records belonging to the
said office, was loft, carried off, or destroyed : Which de
position sets forth, as far as the nature of circumstances
will admit, the particulars of the Did John Murray’s
title, the nature of the picmifcs, and the place where fir,
tuate, and 110 W remains in the Prothonotary’s Office open
to the infpeilion of all persons whatsoever; and, unleft
good cause is (hewn on oath to the contrary, within four
calendar months after the publication of this notice in the
Georgia Gazette, I {hall declare, by certificate under my
hand, fubferibed under such deposition, that the fame

men, and willing to serve his Majesty King
GEORGE, for the space of tw'o year, or during
the present rebellion, have now a fair and honour,
able opportunity of revenging ihemfclves bn the
authors of the many cruelties and horrid mu derj
committed on their relations, friends, and fellow
fubj-'ftij of unifying their -loyalty tQ the Left cf
Kings; and %Anifftiffg tkeir abhorrence shaver*-
fiQiy to this unnatural and unprovoked
by applying to Lieut. Col. George Campbell,
commanding the King’s own American Regiment,
now quartered in this town, who has poweT -to
raise a body of light horse, to be attached to and
serve constantly with the said regiment. Each loyal
and smart young recruit lhall receive five guinea*
bounty, and a crown to drink his Majesty’s health,
be provided with free quarters, agood herfe, pay,
cloathing, arms, accoutrements, and every other
requisite, fit for a light dragoon, such as a cap and
helmet, a brace of good pistols before him, a keta
edged fvtord by his fide, and good boots and fpuw.
Thus equipped as a Gentleman Dragoon, he niuft
carry sure and certain viftory, acquire honour to
himfelf, and render ferviefc to his Sovereign and
injured Country. *

be fold, will be purchased, and a generous price
