PHOtXAMATION OF THE CI’B AX PATRIOTS.
July 31, 1851.
Cubans! eight hundred of our compatriots
raised the cry of liberty, and have planted
nr the heights of Cubanis the flag of the
fliite Star, dedicated to war. All that is
is Union, constancy and fraternity, to
their triumph in the holy cause of Cuban
flirty. Imitate the glorious example which
ilsrv iiave given to thefworltl.
‘fhe Government has not the power to sup-
Lgg the revolution which has been begun in
atirdistinct places at the - same time, because
fthe uncertainty, and doubt with which they
B re surrounded. Confusion, ignorance, and
tar blind their eyes and bind their hands, and
lien will cause them to fall into the abyss
which awaits them.
Cubans! do not permit, by your continued
inaction, the blood of the sons of Puerto
Principe to he spilled alone. Do not let their
heroic example be in vain, nor the magic cry
■ oflibertv which they have raised be extinguish
*)without an echo. No, never give a proof
[in the world of such dastardly, ignoble spirit.
Understand well, that if by your indifference,
and lor want of your co-operation they perish,
we shall merit the contempt of the whole
world while, we will be condemned for ever
to bear the Spanish yoke.
The victors of Puerto Principe confide in us
ihev look to us to join them in their struggle
lo break the chains of our tyrants; chains which
with so much ignominy we drag in the face
nfthe infamous pleasures of our oppressors.
We offer our extended arms to all Spaniards
who judge with justice our cause. Their lives
snd properly shall be held inviolate. The
I Cubans regard as enemies only those who
like up arms against them; the history of their
struggle for independence shall not lie stained
liydeeds of rapine and plunder.
Enthusiasm and valor! We. expect the air!
the generous North Americans offer us, if we
prove ourselves worthy of their assistance.
The hero of Cardenas impatiently awaits the
hour when he may land upon our shores. It
rill take but a few hours for his arrival.
To arms, Cubans! The field be witness of
jour heroism,’ and may ffeaven give you
victory. Provoke the battle! Throw your
selves valiant!)’ into the combat. Strike down
the tyrants, an i obtain for your triumph the
bloody spoils of their throne, upon which we
will raise the temple of liberty". (Signed)
The Members of tiie Cuba’s Junta.

It possesses many other maciiines

1. The water is canveyed from the fountain to
the plufee desired in a few seconds without passing
through either wooden or metallic pipe?, in which it is
g.-nrrailv acknowledged that it loses much of that
freshness and purity it possessed at the fouuiain.
2; Tlie practicabilty of adapting it to any sittiatioii,
(it requires no head or full,; either over level ground,
across hr meb.-s. roads or ravines, and up the most rurj*

3. The small amount of labor required for their erec
