r|NH E PATENT FLY TRAP and MOSQUITO CATCH
-4 EBis astonishing every person who views its entirely suc
cessful arid triumphant operation.
It is, indeed, one of the marvels of the day. and excite* a
very great amount of astonishment. It has a wire top. at the
bottom of which Is a revolving cylinder, on which the flv
alights to secure the sugar or molasses that he may find there,
while thus luxuriating, ail tintonucious of danger, he finds
himself very suiidenly in a dark place, aid on looking up he
sees the light above him. and ascends to it. When there, he
finds himself encaged in a little roost, all around ot wire,
through which he can look out, hut cannot hit out. In short,
he is fit limbo, and t;ew compactions In trouble arrive bv each
reyolutlnn of the wheel, until there Is neither room for them to
fly or stand, when they are al! put over a flame of paper, and
thus disposed of. These traps, having the machinery or a
clock of course cannot be sold for a song. Yet they are cheap
for their value, for they will soon keep a house clear of flies.
It Is, indeed, remarkable to observe what a quantity of flies
may be caught by this very effectual process. A quart a day,
solid measure, tl not too large an estimate. It wlil also take
mosquitoes at night. By all means obtain a sight of the ma
chine, and examine it.
In Rooms oocufixd by the Siok it Is a great blessing; and
it la worth Its price a hundred times over for the use of hotels,
marke ts, Ac.
The machine Is verv successful In trapping the large breeding
flies, which propagate the myriads of house flies.
