Telephones.
The general manager of the telephone
company has prepared the following no
tice to be placed on each telephone in
the Dallas Exchange. It is but right that
that those who use the telephone service
should pay for it. Merchants do not keep
store to give away goods; farmers are
not'expected to give away their corn; rail,
roads are not expected to donate their
tickets; neither should telephone com
panies be expected to give free their valu
able services and facilities. The Oaines-
boro Telephone Company has inaugurated
a fine system here, and should receive the
full patronage of the people.
