THANKSGIVING
PROCLAMATION.
Govenor Terrell has issued
his annual Thanksgiving Day
proclamation setting Thurs
day, November 26th, as the
day for thanksgiving and
prayer. Tfie following is the
proclamation.
The people of Georgia have
been greatly blessed during
the year that is now drawing
to a close. The seasons have
been/such as to protest our
husbandmen from disaster;
their toil has been rewarded
with remnuerative prices for
all the products of the field ;
and a beneficent climate has
again saved our population
from pestilence and famine.
No internal strife threatens
the peace of the state, and
all classes of our citizens are
working in harmony for the
material, educational and mor
al advancement of our common
country.
Therefore, in grateful ac
knowledgement of the many
blessings that have keen
vouchsafed to us by an ever
indulgent Providence.
I, Joseph M. Terrell,govern

issue this my proclamation,
designating Thursday, the
26th day of November, 1903,
as a day of thanksgiving and
prayer.
On that day I earnestly re
