real estate is not dropping in

up with their work, and the
crops are looking pretty good
now.

His name is Geo. W . Heard.
Mr. Heard is ali .ut sixty
years old. Recently he lost
one hundred thousand dollars
in the greatest and most des
ructive tire in the, history of
i Forsyth county. His large mev
cantile business went up in
smoke within a few minutes.
Did he sit down in the shad
ow of dispair? Did his heart
fail him? Did he throw up his
hands and quit?
Not on your life!
The next day after the fire
he was selling goods!
Now he is building a great
structure for an increased vol
ume of business, and intends to
have it completed by fall.
This man ought to oe an in
spiration to his fellows. Many
of us are overcome by little

Big June Singing.
The big singing will be held
in Gumming on the fourth Sun
day in June this year, on ac
count of the 4th of July Tailing
on Sunday. Remember, the
same time it has always been
held, the fourth Sunday in
June.
There will bs plenty good
eaders here to help in the sing
lr.g. Everybody bring odd and
new books. We will sing in
the new books in the forenoon
and old books in the earning.
Everybody come, bring well
filled baskets and help make
this the best singing wc have
ever held.
