met aat the school house October
18 with 11 members present. The
meeting was opened by the Presi
dent Mrs. E. B. Watson. Devotion
al by Mrs. Howard Holland. Lords
Prayer by all. Song—America and
"Sweet Hour of Prayer”. Poem—
I'Goi’s Blessings”,. Mrs. W. S.
Turner our Secreary-Treasurer read
the minutes of the last meeting
and called the roll. We answered
by naming a leaf.
Mrs. Bannister congratulated us
on having won first prize with our
booth at the fair. The check was
turned over to the Secretary.
We welcome a new member Mrs.
Roy Holtzclaw.
The landscape chairman Mrs. Ros
coe Thomas gave us some fine tips
on graden area, flower beds and
where to put your house. Mrs. Ban
nister showed us a sample of mat
erial and colors good for this sea
son.
Our recreation chairman Mrs.
Joe Shadburn had some good gam
es to play. Mrs. Mattie Watson and
Miss Ruth Driskell served cookies,
cakes and coffee.
Don’t forget next month’s meet
ing at the school house. Time to
elect officers for the coming year.
