touchdown that ended the
scoring in the game.
Forsyth County then took
the ball and moved to the
North Hall 33-yard line. It
was here that they met a
third down and 20 situation.
Quarterback Shirley elected
to carry the ball and ran
nine yards to the 24 yard
line. A penalty on the play
carried the ball back to the
Trojan 34-yard line. Shirley
stated following the game,
“I thought that it was third
down, since they took the
penalty, but it was my mis
take.”
Shortstop Stacey Bennett
had two hits in the first
game and Penny Samples
had two hits in game two.
Dawn Smallwood, a new
comer to the team, doubled
and singled and had two
runs-batted-in in the second
game.
Jiggering, Dappling
Are Fishing Terms

If you don’t understand
“buzzing, jiggering and dap
pling,” it’s because you
haven’t been introduced to
these three techniques.
Yet they are successful
methods for catching fish,
and that’s why angling ex
perts want you to know
about them. Oddly, all three
rely upon a cane pole for ac
tion.
Buzzing is top-water fish
ing with a lure that makes a
lot of noise as it zips along.
Tie a four-foot section of
15-pound test monofilament
to the end of an eight-or-ten
foot long cane pole.
FORSYTH BULLDOG REACHES FOR PASS
... thrown to North Hall receiver
The team travels to Mari
etta on Sept. 17 to face Os
borne and will play North
Gwinnett at the city park on
Monday, Sept. 22 at 4 p.m.
Admission to the game is
free and all home games are
doubleheaders.
To this, attach a large plug
with spinners at both ends.
Use your boat to ease along
the shore, and “buzz” the
lure on the water near any
likely fish-holding spots.
Jiggering is buzzing under
water. The pole should be
long enough that the end will
drag in the water.
Shorten the line to two
feet, attach a noise-making
plug that runs beneath the
surface.
Move the lure slowly
around lily pads, moss and
other likely spots.
You can impart extra ac
tion to the lure by tapping
the butt end of the pole to
create vibrations.

Any of these techniques

to land them, since you’re

the rod is much longer than
the line.

THE BUCK STOVE IS THE WAY
Recently, in the quest to find a solution to Ameri
ca's energy problems, a more practical and efficient
wood stove was invented The Buck Stove. The Buck
Stove is a unique whole-house Heating System - with a
blower, hot air vents and cold air returns in one unit.
It's designed to heat your house from one end to the
other, efficiently and inexpensively. Unlike a radiant
wood stove, a Buck Stove heating system can comfort
ably heat most homes using less wood than a conven
tional fireplace and no more electricity than a 100-
watt lightbulb. Buck Stove owners typically report sav
ings of up to 80 per cent on their home heating bills.
