Cougars To Host Playoffs
The Georgia Football

Keeping Bait Cool And Alive
Minnows are the most dif
ficult bait to keep alive, es
pecially if you must
transport them some dis
tance to where you will fish.
Some ice cubes and a plas
tic bag will work wonders.
Punch several small holes in
the bag, fill it with ice and
tie the top closed.
Lay the bag over the
bucket. As the ice melts,
cool water will drip into the
bucket and keep the water
there from overheating.
If ice isn’t available, wrap
a piece of burlap around the
bucket, wet it and let evapo
ration do the cooling job.
Crayfish can be kept alive
by placing a tray or two of
ice cubes in the bottom of a
bucket, then covering this
with several folds of burlap
topped with a thick layer of
grass.
Dump the bait onto the

Randy Chester, Tony Broad
head, Johnny Pruitt, Tony
Gusallers, Kevin Fowler,
Kevin Estes, and Keith
Glover.
Coaches Bob Mason and
Mitchell Collins said they
were happy with the teams
overall effort and fine de
fense.
With the win, the Cougars
will host the Marietta Thun
derbolts in the first round of
the league’s playoffs, sched
uled to begin at 8 p.m., Oct. 4
at Wills Park.
The Cougars, coached by
Mike Jackson, ended the
regular season with four
wins and three losses.

area participating on the
Cougars’ team consist of Ju
