ago.

Judges for the pageant were Beverly
Tate, former model and member of the
Rabun Gap Junior Guild; Elizabeth
Dawkins, the former “1980 Miss Rock*
dale County”; Lou T. Erickson, daily
columnist and political cartoonist for
the Atlanta Journal for 27 years; Diane
Dorris, past director of a modeling
school in Atlanta who has worked with
a number of other schools; and Dr.
Gordon Kilpatrick, former professor of
chemistry at Truett-McConnel College,
president of Dunwoody Chemical Com
pany and owner of “Gateway Comput
ing.”
Scholastic judges for the event were
Dr. Donald Stanley and other faculty
members at Truett-McConnel College.
The fourth runner-up re
ceives a trophy from the
Band Boosters Club, a $lO
gift certificate from Ra
mey’s, a hair cut from the
Hair Pin and a Westclox
