Romans 10:1-2
Brethren my heart’s desire and pray
er to God for Israel is, that they might
be saved. For I bear the record that they
have a zeal of God, but not according to
knowledge.
Paul wrote this book to the Romans
from Corinth in AD 60. His greatest de
sire of life was to see his fellow country
men saved. He wanted to see them truly
born again, truly a new person not just
religious. TTiere is a difference in being
religious and having salvation. Paul
was not so much concerned about his
own well being. He knew God would sup
ply all his needs. He knew the conse
quences of being just religious and not
truly a child of God. The beat of Paul’s
heart was to see them saved. Jesus’
heart stopped beating, His blood was
shed to see YOU saved.
Paul remembered Romans 6:23
The wages of sin is death. Death means
separation. Physical death is separa
tion of the soul from the body, spiritual
death is the separation of the soul from
God. Let me tell you what this means in
my own words. Your payment as a sol
dier of sin is separation from God in
Hell. You and I have earned Hell. Have
you ever been separated from some
body you really cared about. You know
only a small part of the horror of Hell.
Have you ever really wanted to go to a
“get together” and for some reason
could not. You know only a drop in the
bucket as compared to hell. Have you
ever been alone and so miserable you
almost died? That’s only a drop in the
ocean compared to what faces lost peo
ple. Paul knew this. His heart’s desire,
his prayer was that they would be
saved.
Spiritual death is separation from
God. He is Love, Life, Light, Hope,
Heaven, Home, Peace, Pleasure, Puri
ty, a Friend, Family, FOREVER.
Luke 13:28 says “There shall be weep
ing and gnashing of teeth when ye shall
see Abraham and Issac and Jacob and
all the prophets in the kingdom of God
and you yourself thrust out.
Luke 16 tells the actual facts of a man
going to hell. You might read it if you

are not 100% certain if you die you will
go to heaven. It tells of a man begging
Abraham for mercy. Jesus is the only
one on whom we can call for mercy. But
his answer—Son remember. This could
be a thought for you parents. Is that son
of yours really saved. Is that daughter
who is so precious to you really going to
He:.ven. Let’s open our blind eyes and
see the truth. I love to see a parent lov
ing their children, it is only right. But
don’t forget they will stand before a
Holy God saved or lost.
Abraham said, “Son remember.” In
Hell you will remember all the chances
you had to be saved. The time someone
left a gospel tract on your car, the times
your friends asked you to go to church,
when you were in church and almost
got saved. Almost is not good enough.
I want you to be saved. Jesus loves
you, God sent Jesus to die for your sins.
The Holy Spirit caused you to read this.
Many people have prayed for you. Will
you be saved today? Don’t wait another
minute. Realize you are a sinner. Ro
mans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned
and fallen short from the glory of God.
Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his
love toward us in that while we were yet
sinners Christ died for us.
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is
death, but the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans
10:9 “That is thou shall confess with thy
mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in
thine heart that God has raised him
from the dead thou shall be saved.”
Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall
call upon the name of the Lord shall be
saved.
I beg you by the mercies of God, don’t
wait another minute. For by grace are
you saved through faith. Ephesians 2:8.
Right not pray from the heart these
words. Lord, I’ve sinned, I’m sorry. I
trust Jesus now. Save me, Lord Jesus.
Thank you Jesus. If you prayed that
prayer, claim salvation by faith. Live
daily for Jesus. Now be baptized and
join a Bible believing, Bible teaching lo
cal church.
