to speak at Concord
Mrs. Margaret Burks a volunteer
missionary to Liberia will be the guest
speaker at the Concord Baptist
Church WMU on Monday night June 4,

There will be a youth meeting June
7 at 7:30 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist
Church sponsored by Mount Tabor
and Concord Baptist churches. Every
one is welcome.
Sawnee Mt. Church
of God has festival
On Saturday, June 9. Sawnee Moun
tain Church of God will be having an
all-day festival in orderto raise money
for its new church. There will be fun
for everyone with a dunking booth, ap
ple bobbing, barbecue lunch, puppet
shows, crafts, a country store, cotton
candy, volleyball games, clowns, a
yard sale, an auction, cake walk and
much more. Activities will begin at 8
a.m. and will last throughout the day.
The church is located at 302 Pilgrim

honors it graduates
The church of the Good Shepard
honored its high school and college
graduates on Sunday, May 6. Allison
Michelle Hawkins, Jennifer Kathleen
Norman, Andrew W. Rush, Phillip J.
Rush and Diana L. Whitmire were
each presented with a bible during the
11 a.m. service. After the service a re
ception was held for them at The
Place on Bettis Tribble Gap Road.
