Bank South Vice President Jim Dunkin presents the SI,OOO Bank South
scholarship to Forsyth Central High School graduate Leigh Ann Lordo.
She will be attending the University of Georgia majoring in music
education. Leigh Ann is an honor graduate and was active in a number
of school and community events. She was the drum major of the Flash
of Crimson Band and wants to direct a high school band someday.

Cumming cadet
Christopher David Kemp, son of Mr. Charles E. Kemp of Cumming
and Ms. Laura Kemp of Dunwoody, has recently been honored at North
Georgia College's annual Awards Review for his exceptional leader
ship in the Corps of Cadets.
Cadet Major Kemp (left) is shown receiving the Outstanding Staff
Officer Award from Col. John T. Lawrence, commandant of the Corps
of Cadets and professor of military science at NGC. Kemp is a senior
political science major at North Georgia and a graduate of Peachtree
High School.

The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners is pleased to announce that
the Forsyth County Department of Water/Sewer (107 E. Maple
Street/Cumming, Ga. 30130) is presently accepting tap-on applications
for the following projects:
1) Hopewell Road (9E) from Hwy. #9 to A.C. Smith Road.
A.C. Smith Road from Hopewell Road (9E) to Hwy. #9.
2) Hurt Bridge Road from Friendship Circle to Pleasant Grove Road.
Pleasant Grove Road from Hurt Bridge Road to Dr. Bramlett Road.
3) Heardsville Road from Hwy. #2O to Hurt Bridge Road.
Hurt Bridge Road from Heardsville Road to Pleasant Grove Road.
4) Jot-Em Down Road from Hopewell Road (9E) to Keith Bridge Road
(Hwy. #369).
5) Bannister Road from (Hwy. #9) Silver City Road to Mocking Bird Road

The total cost for a V«” service connection is $250.00 during construction,
after which the cost will increase to the normal tap-on fee of $440.00 plus
$50.00 deposit with SIOO.OO extra for a long side bore. A minimum bill of
$12.00/month will be assessed on each tap made whether customer at
taches to meter or not.

Dahlonega, GA-Rachel Ann Worley
of Cumming has been named to the
Winter Quarter President’s List at
North Georgia College in Dahlonega.
To be eligible for the honor, stu
dents must have a 4.0 grade point av
erage while taking at least 15 quarter
hours of courses.
Ms. Worley is one of 138 students
out of 2,021 undergraduates to be se
lected for the honor.
