New service advances medicine
North Fulton Regional Hospital an
nounced the newest hospital service a
powerful magnetic resonance (MR) imaging
system which enables area physicians to see
inside the body in ways never before
possible.
Chuck Davis, director of imaging services,
explained the significance of the new ser
vices: “The new system is capable of acquir
ing images so detailed that they approach the
fine-line anatomical drawings found in med
ical textbooks.”
Because the system is considered non-in
vasive, it offers fewer risks than some diag
nostic alternatives. The MR system uses ra
dio waves to create images of the human
anatomy.
An additional advantage includes the con
venient location for Roswell. Alpharetta, and
Forsyth County residents.
"The addition of this service will greatly
extend the range of high quality diagnostic
services available to community residents,"
added Davis.
