This should prompt students
to find a place on campus to
park instead of parking at non
university locations, said
Lord.
“Black zone” parking lots
are designated for commuter
students, and three NGCSU
public safety officers will be
in the parking lots directing
students to available parking,
including temporary parking.
An operations center will be
set up at the public safety
office to update the officers on
available parking.
The parking lot between
plant operations and the public
safety office at the main cam
pus entrance will hold 38
vehicles.
Beside that lot, in the
grassy area next to the tennis
courts, 20 more parking
spaces will be available.
Directly across the street,
beside the gym, a 36-space
grass lot will be temporarily
available. The 11 spaces in
front of the tennis courts will
be designated commuter park
ing.
The black zone at the din
ing facility will be expanded
temporarily with 36 spaces
next to the outdoor basketball
court and 20 on the embank
ment directly above the dining
hall parking lot.
Sixteen parking spaces will
be available on the curb lining
the drill field. Along Alumni
Drive, on the grassy area to
the left when entering the
roadway from Morrison
Moore Parkway, 45 spaces
