magazine also estimates that
North America now accounts
for 71 percent of all online
trade, and that worldwide,
business-to-business e-com

“The hottest new careers

Diane Garsombke, dean of the
Brenau School of Business and
Mass Communication.
The Brenau/Technet pro
gram will bridge the gap
between certification and a
college degree. J. Whitted,
Technet’s director of training,
says prospective students often
ask, which is better, a college
degree of certification.
“Marrying the two only
makes good business sense. It
allows the student not only to
obtain theoretical knowledge
but also gives first hand experi
ence and skills in real world
applications,” Whitted said.
Brenau student Donna
Gibson looks forward to the
new program.
“The fact I can get a col
lege degree and also computer
certification will qualify me for
a higher salary when I gradu
ate,” Gibson said.
Sheridan graduated from
Forsyth County High School in
Cumming in 1972.
He is the son of Mary Jane
Sheridan of Cumming and the
late Phil Sheridan, formerly of
Cumming.
