done by members of the vol
unteer auxiliary. Bring your
holiday gifts (in boxes if pos
sible) and let us turn them into
beautifully wrapped presents
that will save you valuable
time during the busy holiday
season. Wrapping will be rea
sonably priced, and it can be
done while you wait or on a
drop-off/pick-up basis. The

Auditions

equity auditions for “The
Murder of St Christopher’s,”
an original courtroom drama
by C.K. Goldston, on

Workshop will be at Sharon
Springs Park Dec. 22 from 9
a.m. to noon or Dec. 23 from
9 a.m. to noon. This workshop
is for ages 5-1/2 to 10 years.
Participants will create three
colorful drawing projects.
This three-hour workshop is
$36 per day. All supplies
included, snacks will be pro
vided.
• Hatha Yoga one-hour
classes are designed for begin
ner to moderate level students.
Sessions use stretching,
breathing, meditation, and
alignment to improve muscle
tone, strength, flexibility and
overall mind and body well
ness. Equipment is provided
and you may progress at your
own pace. Classes are held at
Central Park Recreation
Center starting Monday, Jan.
5, from 6:15-7:15 p.m. or
Thursday, Jan. 8, from 6-7
p.m. The fee is S6O for six

• Tap-Ballet —a perfect
combination class. The pro
gram is divided with 20 min
utes of tap and 25 minutes of
ballet. The technical training
is taught through ballet, which
in turn helps teach the proper
shifting of weight and patterns
in movement for tap. Classes
are being offered at Central
Park Recreation Center on
Tuesdays, starting Dec. 2-Feb.
24, for ages 4-5, from 2:30-

• Karate Traditional
Okinawan karate will be
taught at Central Park
Recreation Center starting
Monday, Dec. 1, for ages 5-12
from 5 :30-6:30 p.m. and for
ages 13 and up from 6:30-7:30
p.m. The classes will be
Mondays and Wednesdays and
are designed to develop a
lifestyle that leads to self
defense, self-confidence,
improved health and improved
balance and coordination. The
fee is S6O for six weeks.
• Jazz-Ballet An excit
ing dance class that offers a
wide range of fun and up beat
movement! All of the jazz
activities are presented
through “popular” dance
music. The children will learn
class discipline, listening
skills, coordination skills, pat
terns in movement, and basic
jazz dance technique. Students
will also be introduced to
basic concepts of Ballet tech
nique and vocabulary.
Classes are being taught at
Central Park Recreation
Center on Tuesdays, starting
Dec.2-Feb. 24 for ages 6-8
from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and for
ages 9-12 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

• Body Sculpting A no
impact aerobic workout to
increase muscle tone, balance,
flexibility and endurance.
Class is designed for all fit-
ness levels. Hand weights and
floor mats provided. Bring a
towel and a water bottle. Class
is on Tuesdays and Thursdays
at Central Park Recreation
Center beginning Dec. 2 from
9:30-10:30 a.m. The fee is S6O
for six weeks.
• Baton This class
exposes the students to baton
twirling, dancing, marching
and timing with music.
Emphasis is on team spirit and
flexibility. Intermediate and
advanced students may sign
up with the instructor to com
pete in area competitions.
Batons may be purchased at

Jan. 12. Beginning fundamen
tals will be from 4-4:45 p.m.;
intermediate twirling from 5-
5:45 p.m.; advanced twirling

hour classes include high-low
aerobics, step-work, weights
and body sculpting. Designed
for all fitness levels. Bring a
