The Georgia Poison
Center is hosting its fifth
annual National Poison
Prevention Week Poster
Contest. The goal of the
poster contest is to teach our
children about the dangers of
poisons and poison preven
tion. Poster contest rules and
forms can be obtained by
calling the Georgia Poison
Center at (404) 616-9235
through Feb. 14.
The Poster theme must
focus on poison prevention in
the home. Children should
create their own theme. Past
themes included: Fatal
Attraction: Potion and Pills;
Don’t touch, don’t taste, ask
first!; Be poison Smart!;
Cap it up ... use child-safety
caps!; Protect precious hands
from poisons!

Mothers of Preschoolers
... registration is going on now. Don’t miss

other MOPS. MOPS is a Creekside UMC
Ministry led by mothers themselves and
designed for mothers with children ages birth
to six. Our MOPS meetings include breakfast,
door prizes, an outside speaker and other activi
ties including peer discussion and craft time.
Your little ones are loved and nurtured during
our MOPS meetings with our MOPPETS pro
gram, a quality child care program that
includes stories, play, music and crafts.
Meetings are the first and third Friday of
each month at Creekside Methodist Church.
