baseball camp
set for April
The South Forsyth War
Eagles will host their annual
Spring Break Baseball
Camp on April 5-6. South
Forsyth baseball coaches
and players will instruct
players ranging from age 10
to graduating seniors.
The two-day camp costs
S7O and will run from 9
a.m.-2 p.m. each day.
Registration will begin at
8:30 a.m. on April 5 at the
SFHS baseball field.

eye showcase
Perfect Game Softball
will host an Identification
Camp at Georgia Tech on
April 24.
This one-day event is for
softball players ages 13-18
interested in showcasing
their skills in front of
Perfect Game Scouts.
Results of the assessment
will be placed on their offi

sent to college coaches
nationwide.
Each player will also
receive a video produced by

Lake Lanier and Chattahoochee River Fishing Report ~~~
Water Conditions: The
lake temperatures are mid
60s, The lake is clear to
stained and getting very busy
already on the weekends.
The Chattahoochee River is
clear.
Bass: The bass fishing is
awesome right now and lots
of fish are spawning this
week with the full moon.
Most of the patterns are pres
pawn and spawning fish, so
going shallow is a good
place to be. We haven't even
tried to fish any deeper than
15 feet with most bass com
ing from 10 feet or shallow
er. The spots and an occa
sional largemouth are cruis
ing the banks. Almost any
thing will work, but worms
and jigs are hard to beat.
Skip these baits around
docks and cover and you will
get bit. If you can't stand to

The North Forsyth Raiders
fell to St. Pius X 8-4 Friday
night, suffering their first
region loss of the season.
Dexter Bobo got the loss.
Offensively for North
Forsyth (10-2, 2-1 in Region
6-AAAA), Tim Reeves was I
for-3 with a double and an
RBI. Christopher Light was 1-
for-1 with an RBI. and Mark
Doll was l-for-3 with an RBI.
St. Pius scored three runs
in the first and another in the
second, before North respond
ed with its first run Light
getting hit by a pitch with the
bases loaded to score Dusty
Martin in the bottom of the
third to pull within 4-1.
The Golden Lions struck
for three more runs in the top
of the fourth, extending their
advantage to a 7-1 margin.
North Forsyth scored three
more runs in the fifth
Helland scoring on a bases
loaded walk of Doll. Hamilton
scoring on a walk of Reeves
and Hudson scoring on a sac
rifice fly by Justin Smith to
pull within 7-4. But it was not
enough as St. Pius scored one
more run in the sixth, then
held the Raiders off the score

The Lady Rams of
Covenant Christian Academy
played Heritage for the sec
ond time this season but
couldn't find away around
Heritage in a 3-1 loss.
The game was close
throughout the entire match
but three first-half goals
from Heritage proved too
much for the Lady Rams.
Nonetheless, the
Covenant kept fighting hard,
scoring through Jennifer
Bower on an assist from
Jessica Gandy on an indirect
kick inside the 18-yard box.

a double and 2 RBIs. and
Mark Doll was 2-for-3 with a
double.
The Raiders scored three

Light singled in Helland and
Hamilton for a 3-0 North
Forsyth lead after one inning.
In the second. Bobo scored
from second on a single by
Hamilton. Then, in the third,
Bobo scored again on a two
out single by Justin Smith for
a 5-0 Raider advantage.
But North Forsyth caught
fire in the fifth, tacking on five

The night fishing has slowed
down a little, but can still be
decent. We boated a 26-
pound fish the other night on
a Bomber Long-A around 10
p.m. down in the mouth of
Shoal Creek.
Throw these large plugs
against the bank after dark
and reel back with a slow
steady retrieve. This same
technique will work well
fishing form the banks.
Crappie: Crappie fishing
is still very good. Docks and
wood cover are holding a lot
of fish. Crappie jigs and min
nows will catch a bunch
right now. The bridges are
also holding good numbers
of fish right now and the
night bite is pretty good.
