Thursday. April 8. 2004. She
attended Truth Tabernacle
Church.
Survivors include her par

Cumming; sister. Amy Banks
of Cumming; grandparents,
Shirley Bachelor of Maysville.
Charles and Barbara Bales of

Banks. Paulene and Mel Lane,
all of Dawsonville; great
grandmother, Ophie Dodd of
Buford; uncles and aunts, Vicki
and Donald Teems, Shannon
Banks, all of Dawsonville,
Greg and Donna Banks of
Hollywood. Darrell and Marie
Tidwell of Grayson, Chris
Bachelor of Maysville; and
several other relatives also sur
vive.
Funeral services were
Saturday, April 10. at the
Ingram Funeral Home Chapel
with the Rev. Bruce Flowers
officiating. Interment followed
in the Sawnee View Memorial
Gardens.

Mr. John P. Cathcart. 84. of
Cumming died Thursday, April
8, 2004. Mr. Cathcart was a
member of the Rainbow
Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife
of 57 years. Edith Bagwell
Cathcart of Cumming; sons
and daughters-in-law, John
Sidney and Gloria Cathcart of
Cumming. David Alan and
Cathy Cathcart of Tallahassee.
Fla.; grandchildren, Brian
Cathcart. Christy Cathcart,
both of Cumming, Max
Cathcart, Isabella Cathcart.
Alex Cathcart, all of Florida;
sister, Elizabeth Cathcart of
Loganville, Marie Frasier of
Winder; brother and sister-in
law. Billy and Canice Cathcart
of Loganville; nieces, nephews
and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were
Sunday. April 11, at the Ingram
Funeral Home with the Elder
Bobby Cagle and Father Peter
Rau officiating. Interment fol
lowed in the Greenlawn
Cemetery.

Mrs. Rosa Mae Fowler
Graham, 85. of Suwanee died
Saturday. April 10, 2004. She
was preceded in death by her
husband, Winfred Graham.
Survivors include her chil

Merlene Graham, all of
Suwanee. Robert and Diane
Graham. Barbara Sharpton. all
of Lawrenceville, Pete and
Martha Etheridge of Houston,
Peggy Stilwell of Bethlehem;
17 grandchildren; 16 great
grandchildren; sisters-in-law,
Willie Akins of Rome,
Marietta Fowler of
Lawrenceville; and a number
of nieces, nephews and other
relatives also survive.

Tuesday, April 13, at the
Ingram Funeral Home Chapel
with the Rev. R.L. Couch offi
ciating. Interment followed in
the Prospect Methodist
Church Cemetery in
Lawrenceville.

Baptist Church. She was pre
ceded in death by her husband.

Evelyn Jean Janson Picton,
90. of Cumming died April 7,
2004.
Mrs. Picton taught high
school English in Pennsylvania
for 25 years. She was a member
of Cross of Life Lutheran
Church in Roswell. She was
preceded in death by her hus
band of 60 years. Theodore B.
Picton: brother. Joseph M.
Janson; and parents, Rev.
Joseph M. Janson and Iva
Zacharias Janson.
Survivors include her
daughter and son-in-law, Susan
C. and William R. Enterline of
Cumming; sisters. Bette
Rinehart of Elysburg. Pa.. Iva
Adams of Camp Hill. Pa.;
granddaughters. Christy S.

Thomas Watson Smith
Mr. Thomas Watson Smith,
72. of Clarkston and Cumming
died April 10,
20(M. Mr. Smith
was a Korean
War veteran in
the Navy from
VETERAN
1951-55. He was an active
member of the USS Kearsarge
Association where he served as
vice president and membership
chairman. He retired from
AT&T after 32 years. He was a
member of American Legion
Post 0207. He was preceded in
death by his wife, Elizabeth Lee
Smith of 34 years.
Survivors include his daugh
ter. Alisa Smith Rhodes; grand
children. Peyton Chandler,
Macy Elyse, Robert Thomas;
siblings and nieces and
nephews also survive.
A memorial service will be
planned at a later date. In lieu of
flowers, donations may be sent
to Portsbridge Hospice or Tara
Plantation in Cumming.
Cremation Society of
Georgia Inc. was in charge of
the arrangements.

scheduled for Saturday, April
17. from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at
the Cumming Fairgrounds.
In appreciation of local
Great American Clean Up
volunteers, the Pro Earth
Group will give a free lunch
to those volunteers who have
registered a cleanup with
