Adoption Information Session

open adoption, from the initial
steps to get started through
finalizing your adoption. The

AARP Driver Safety pro
gram
... a one-day class will be
offered Saturday, April 24,
from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the
Northside Hospital Forsyth,
4100 Northside Medical
Center Dr. in Cumming. The
refresher course is open to
AARP and non-AARP mem
bers. Though the material is
designed primarily for drivers
age 50 and over, younger driv
ers may attend. It provides
many ideas on how to avoid
accidents, drive safely and
update the motor vehicle laws.
Participants who complete the
eight hours of instruction are
eligible for a discount on their
automobile insurance premi
um. The course must be
renewed every three years. For

Norman's Landing

annual “Tax Relief Tuesday”
on Tuesday, April 27, at the
Chestatee Golf Club in
Dawsonville. The entry fee for
the event is $275 per golfer
and corporate sponsorships
are available for $1,200. For
the past eight years Norman’s
Landing has raised more than
$190,000 for The United Way
of Forsyth County. Lunch and
dinner will be provided by
Norman’s Landing. Chestatee
Ford provides the “Hole-In-
One” car, and there are great
prizes for the winners as well
as many items available at the
silent auction. Proceeds will
benefit The United Way of
Forsyth County.

Radio Emergency Service

training course for ham radio
operators. The free courses
will be element 1 Morse code,
element 2 tech, and element 3
general class. Students will be
