... The Place provides a
weekly Wednesday noon day
meal and a monthly senior
luncheon in Forsyth County.
The luncheons supplement
their surplus and food pantry.
Their objective is to ensure
that no one in the community
goes hungry. The Place needs
caring groups to provide the
food, serve and clean the room
on the following dates: July 2
and 23, Sept. 24 and Oct. 1.

Office Citizens’ Law
Enforcement Academy
... is a free nine week
course that meets from 7-10
p.m. on consecutive Mondays.
The academy is open to all
Forsyth County residents,
employees and business own¬
ers and provides students with
hands-on training and law
enforcement knowledge. The
course is run by the Forsyth
County Sheriff’s Office, and
all instructors in this program
are Forsyth County Sheriff’s
Office employees.
