A Petition from sundry merchants of the town- of Auguffi
was taken lip and read : ,
i he Executive do not feel thcinfelves competent to give
any opinion on that part of their petition, that relates to
rate's and prices of produce and merchandize. At the fame
time they feel every disposition to fee the lawsdnd ordinances'
faithfully executed, and highly disapprove of the conduft of
the potions alluded to in the fair! peLifidd : And to that end
require all persons concerned withffiThe town and vicinity df
Augusta. to preserve that line of order and decorum, that
contributes to eftablilh that peace and harmony so eflentially
neccffary to the well being of society.

Thirty Dollars Reward,
RUN- A WAY or carried from the fubferiber’s, at Dra*
kies, near Savannah, in June last, Three New-Negroes,
viz. Bristol, a stout lusty fellow,’rather large featured, of a
black complexion, fpeak6 very little Engliih, about 26 years
of age. —Prince, a very likely young Negroe, of a black
complexion, about five feet five inches high, speaks a few
words of Engliih, and about 20 years of age.?—AJleck, a
young fellow, about 23 years of age, black complexion, speaks *
no Engliih, and commonly Ihaves the fpre part of his head.
They are all of the Coromantee countiy > and supposed to
be related to each other; they were dressed alike when they
went away, with a checked Ihirt and trowfers, and a striped
woolen cap.
Any perfou who will take up the said Negroes, and deliver
them or any of them, ftiall have Ten Dollars for each, be- •
sides all reasonable charges, to Colonel Handley, at Augusta,
Major Stirk in Savannah, or to
