The Committee further report. Tint, agreeably to the
order of the House of Aflembly the Trcafnrcr in c'niimftion
viith the Auditor, Secretary of the Executive and Clerk of
tne Aflembly attended, and after causing them refpe‘tively to
check and examine the iflues from the refpeftive depart
ments, your Committee proceeded in presence of the afore
laid Officers, and did destroy the funis and iflues hereafter
mentioned, and have also annexed the sums deftroved by the
late Executive, certified in like manner.

in Governors and Speakers warrants outstanding.
Your Committee thereupon remark, that only one moiety
of the general expenditure, warrants issued by the late Go
vernor,is as yet provided for, and lament that 'he Legislature
have not put it in the power of your Committee to point out
any special appropriations for the redemption of the re
maining funr, which will eventually operate to depreciate
public faith.
The Committee recommend, that all pay-rolls and other
expendituies that have not been provided for lhall be dcPvcr
cd in to the Tnfpe&or-General within sixty days (and not
after) from the date thereof; thirty days after which that
office lliall expne : And that he do examine and report there
on to the Executive agreeably to the inflruclions and regula
i 1:0ns pointed out for his department by the late Executive,
and the resolutions of the General Assembly ; and particu
larly where any abuse or fraud may appear, he is hereby en
joined and required to make a special report thereof to the
Executive, who are to refer the fame to the Auditor for his
examination and special remarks thereon, and thereafter (if
approved of by the Executive) his Honor the Governor in
Council is hereby empowered to draw warrants on the Trea
sury in different drafts in favor of the following Officers, they
accounting for the fame agreeably to the inftrutfious of the
late Executive.
