RUN away from the Subscribes, early
in the last spring, as he repeatedly
had done before, a Negro fellow named
JEMMY, about five feet fix or seven
inches high, will at times change his own
as he will his matter's name, speaks bad
Englith, and might be taken for analmoft
new negro, but is very plausible and
artful, has his country (Ebo) marks on

his face thus 111 111, or thus 3 3
and is well known about Spirit Creek
having been twice taken at the plantation
of Mr. William Boftick, and was very
lately taken up by Capt. M Gee

to be somewhere in the back country, a
new negro of the fame nation, known by
the name of JOE, about twenty-two years
of age, very black and ihort, not mud*
above five feet high, well made, and of
a pleasant countenance, speaks little or
no Englilh, but upon being queftiotfed of
his prelent or late owner, (Mr. Francis
Courvoilie) or bis comrade Hedor, will
in all probability be easily dii'covered ; his
name may be now changed. Whoever
will deliver the said negroes in Savannah,
or to the Hon. Col. Filhbourn in Augusta,
mall receive a Reward of EIGHT DOL
LARS for each, and the sum of FIVE
POUNDS will be given on information
and convidion of their or each of their
being harboured.
The subscriber will dispose of Jemmy
or Joe. Terms to be known by applica
tion to Col. Filhbourn, or to
JAMES JACKSON.
Notice .
IDO forewarn all persons whatsoever
from bargaining in any manner with
my wife, Elizabeth Goodwin, for any
part of my real or personal estate what
ever ; and fnch debts as my sons, Thomas,
Harwood and Matthew, may contrad, I
d o hereby inform the public that I will not
pay the fame, nor a (hilling to any of them
on account of marriage. And as I fuf
ped that some or all 6f my negroes may
be moved off from my plantation, in or
tfer to.be dil'pofed of in a cJandeffine man
ner, during my abfcnce in Virginia, I do
hereby offer a reward of Five Pounds foe
each negroe’that may be apprehended af
ter luch removal, to be paid upon the con
vidion of the offender so removing them.
