The Savannah Baptist Minis
ters Alliance met Tuesday in its
regular weekly session at the
First Evergreen Baptist church.
Devotions were conducted by
Rpv. Eddie Brooks. Opening re¬
marks were by the president,
Rev. J. C McMillan who presid¬
ed.
Th. Sunday Schoollesson was
brought by Rev J T
from the topic “A Prophet
Bounce Corruption.” It was
announced that all sessions of
the Alliance be deferred after
next Tuesday until the first
Tuesday after the National
Paptist Convention in Septem¬
ber. Rev. Eddie Brooks was
received as a member of the
Allianee.
The order of the day was an
informative sermon delivered
by Rev. R B Brown from the
theme "God Is Real.” Rev. W.
B Murray assisted in the pul¬
pit service. Rev. E. Boyd will
bring the sprmon on next Tues¬
day and the Sunday School
lesson by Rev. Eddie Brooks.
Expressions on various mat¬
ters and announcements were
by Revs. L. L. Small G. W. Car¬
ter and W. M. Daniels.
An outing to Hilton Head
Beach sponsored by the Alliance
will be announced on next,
Tuesday. Visitors were Mrs. o
W Carter and Mrs. Clara Lig¬
nin. Benediction was by Rev
R. B Brown.
Central Bapt. Church
The usual services were ren¬
dered during the week. Rev.
Daniels spoke at the morning
services from the subject “The
Fullness of Ood.” Contributions
are still coming in on our ral¬
ly. Sunday will be commun¬
ion day. Friday night, June
12, the Young Adult choir will

observed Little Wojnen’s day on
Sunday. A large crowd wit¬
nessed the event. Little Miss
Judy Wright, speaker for the
occasion, spoke eloquently from
the subject, “Little Women
Speak.” Judy Is the daugh-
ter of Dea. and Mrs. Eddie M
Wright and a sixth grade stu¬
dent at DeRenne school. Bar¬
bara Jean Moxley was hon¬
ored as Miss Bolton St. Baptist
Church of ’59, having raised
the highest amount of money
for the occasion. Holy com¬
munion will be served Sunday
at the usual hour. The city¬
wide week of study for all mis¬
sion departments will be held
at Bolton Street Baptist Church
at 3 p. m. and 7:30 p. m. Rev.
W. N. Robinson is pastor of the
church.

mittee. First, second and
third prizes were presented
the East and West sections of
the church. Mrs. Juanita E.
Perkins received the honor of
Royal maid of St. Philip Mon-
umental. After reporting
amount of $438.68 from
West Section, Queen Contestant
