Regular services were held on
Sunday at Bethel A. m. E.
Church including the Sunday
School. The pastor was in
charge of the morning and
evening services as well as the
holy communion period. On
Monday evening Mrs. Relalia
Wright was honored with a fel¬
lowship get-to-gether at the
j home of Rev. and Mrs. Wilson.
.Mrs. Wright was winner of .the
(program | contest on Mother’s Day in a
sponsored by the Mis-
sionary society. She had the
| highest her number and reported of persons the high- on

est amount of finances. Mm
Wright is also the oldest living
j member of Bethel Church; that
is, she was baptised in Bethel
when a baby and throughout
j the years has retained her
membership.
Vacation Bible school is in

attendance. Next Sunday is

On last Sunday, the Pilgrim
Baptist church held the funeral
services for two of its best
members, Den Benjamin Owen
and Mrs. Rebec.ca Simmons,
who was the wife of the foun¬
der cf Pilgrim, the Rev. R. H
Simmons. Rev. D. D. Bender-
eon officiated at both funeral
services.
