HARVEY E. HALL, JU. of
Cleveland, Ohio, spent the holi¬
days with his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Harvey E. Hall of 635 West
37 Street. Mr. Hall is a music
therapist at the Cleveland State
Hospital. He has a working know¬
ledge of eleven instruments. How¬
ever, his major at Oberlin College
was piano with minors of violin
and pipe organ. He sings with
the Cleveland Symphony Chorus
and is a licensed Air-Pilot, Natur¬
ally, we are proud of our cousin
and look forward to his visits
periodically.
MISS ANTIONETTE COX, a
junior at Fisk University, was
home for the holidays. Her major
is speech and drama. Her parents
are Mr. and Mrs. Alphonso L.
Cox of 676 East Anderson Street.

mic speaker for the Emancipation
Day Program at the First African
Baptist Church. His subject was
“The Negro’s Continuous Struggle
for Freedom.” His enthusiasm was
remarkable after waiting more
than two hours for the sponsors
to complete their display of local
talent.

Civic Garden Club
The Civic Garden club hold
their last regular meeting for
1959 on December 9th .at
home of Mrs. Virginia

were made for the Christmas
project and the annual

Infirmary which is the club’s
project and each patient and
the entire staff were

gave gifts to the children. Levi
Grant, club photographer, made

Montgomery Community Center,

mas party. Games, dancing
