auxiliaries. Whenever it shall appear that
there i* more or less labor than cun find profit
able employment in any sub-district, the fact
will bo made known at Ibis office, to the end
that the needed distribution may be secured.
4th. Rations will not be issued, or other aid
given, to ablo bodied refugees or treed people
wno are offered, or can find, opportunities to
labor for their own support nnd who neglect or
return to .lo it. only such persons of either
cla * as have sufficient moans, or who nro so
permanently employed as to make it probable
that they will bauble t • provide lor their own
wains through the coming winter, will be al
lowed t*.* remain in or about cities und towns,
but must bo compelled, it necessary, to go to

by themselves,or tor them, by officers or agents
of the Bureau. .

at Christmas there is to bo a distribution ol

Bureau nro directed, and other officers of the
iiriuy throughout the Stato, are curdestly re-

them to enter into contracts now, that they
