Haverly’s Minstrels gate last night their
second performauco at the Opera House,
and a most enjoyable affair it was. The
troupe are children of laughter, and the
fact of the house being slim is the best
evidence of our poverty and low spirits.
If we did not know there was a good
reason for this, we would feel like com
pressing our lips and saying something
harsh. If Haverly comes here in a month
or two we will promise him and his tal
ented artists a full house and a warm re
ception. Ho is going to Macon and Au
gusta, and will be in Atlanta during the
Fair week. We are not particularly
Doted for puffing any person or any party,
but wo say in all sincerity to our brethren
of tho press, extend a hearty welc jmc to
Harerly nnd his men, for they are artisls
with their faces bluck, and perfect gen
tlemen with their faces white. Success
to them. They havo givrn us two nights
of enjoyment. Wo wihb our town could

‘Waters’ Concerto Parlor Organ’ pos
sesses a beautiful and peculiarly soft
tone. The Concerto Stop is, without
doubt, the best ever placed in any organ.
It is produced by an extra set of reeds,
peculiarly voiced, from which the effect
is most charming, and its imitation of the
human voice is superb. For sweetness

Root Organs for Rasy Faymsnts.
The new scheme of easy payments for
Cabinet Orgaus, offered by the well
known Mason A Hamlin Organ Co., has
these advantages:
1. An organ may be obtained by a first
payment of ten dollars or more.
2. If it does not prove satisfactory, or
the party taking it gets tired of it, he
may return it after aix months, having
paid nothing more than the rent of it.
8. If ho concludei to purchase and
pays for it in the coarse of a year, the
whole cost to him is but five to ten per
cent, more than if all cash had been
paid.
Dealers say this will rain the business
of organ selling, as they oanaot afford to
compete with such terms. The Mason A
Hamlin Company know so well the qual
ity of their organs, and that scaroely any
will be returned to them, that they be
lieve they can afford such terms. Circu
lars cau bo obtained with full parlicalars
by writing to the Company for them to
Boston, New York or Chicago.
Tho Whole Truth.

serve to be dressed in this age, in the
latest style and as cheaply as possible.

of a valuable library and philosophical

books, and are taught by fourteen white
