The City Light Guards, with twenty-
six muskets, four officers and two
markero—total thirty-two—under com
mand of Capt. W. A. Little, loft Colum
bus last Tnesdoy for LaGrango. The
Wosteru Railroad Company kindly placed
a passenger roach at their disposal, and
gnve them a discount on half rates.
Tho run to LaGrango was mado quickly
and pleasantly, and that point was reached
at ono o'clock in tho afternoon. Here

six replies from nineteen oonntiae in
Mississippi, with substantially the same
results. Stands good, plants forming

then last year.
A Mother Verge Error,
The Financial Chronicle thU year was
not worth a cent tot estimates, and the
last few weeks has been making some
singular additions. The edition of the
19th makes the total orop 3,485,134 bales.
The paper of the 26th makes tha port re
ceipts 1), 708 for tho week. This added to
the previous reeeipta ought to make tha
total 3,444,842. The Chronicle, however,
makes the total 7,000 bales more, i. *.,3,-
451,826, end we have seen no explanation
of where those additional thousands oame
from.
