INTEREST SH OO,
'‘There are hundreds of accounts of this
bind on the books of the banks. I know
this, because not long ago I knew of an
investigation being made. A client went
to his lawyer and said he had reason to
believe that his father, who had been dead
several years, had left money in the Bleeck-
er Street Savings Bank. The lawyer made
an investigation, and found that his
client's father had an account there. It
was opened away back in 1830. Pour
years afterward he evidently intended to
c3ose it, for he drew out all the money de
posited except $10. This $10 had been
there since 1834, and had never been
touched. The claimant proved his iden
tity, and the bank paid over the money.
Bow much do you suppose it was? Three
hundred and sixty-six dollars. The $336
was the interest which had accumulated
sine 1834.”—New York Star.

1890, the pure, sweet spirit of little Mildred,
infant daughter of H. V. and Terah F. Fillingim,

their hearts and home, was carried by the
Death Angel in;0 the beyond, leaving the little
body wasted by an illness of four weeks, to be

Wrapped in memories so sweet.
Lying now with star-eyed daisies
Decking her from head to feet.”
Fond parents, sorrow not for youi precious one.
for God had a wise and nobie purpose in taking
her from this world of sorrow and suffering to the
blissful mansions, where she is now basking
beneath the Savior’s smile, and beckoning you
