Wc hare rreetrej another large lot of this excel
lent VEA8T POWDER, andean safely recommend
it to the pnbUc for all that It claims to be. Azu-
aea makes the finest WJJEATEN BREAD poll-
bin. It la mode In the simplest manner, as follows:
Get one quart, equal to l’f pounds of flour, mix
. Into It, e/xffe <//•*, three ordiuary slac tcaspoonfals of
Azumra, mid mid water, s itli a little salt dissolved
i In it—sufficient to make a dough as soil as can be
con rent cut ly handled, which li generally a little
leas than one pint of water to one quart of flour.
Do not knead 1L Sltapc It very lightly, and imme
diately lake In a quick oven, which must be quite
hot before you begin to mix. It has the following
advantages over yeast or fermented bread; It can
be mode and baked In one hour from the time of
first handling the flonr; it will be moist and pleas
ant to ent in fonr days allcr baking; it Is easy of
digestion, excellent for persons suffering from dys
pepsia; retains all the glutcu, starch and sngar
contained in the flonr, and therefore produces 1 lb.
13 ot. heead from I lh. 4 ox. flour, whilst yeast pro
duces only 1 lb. 0 ox. of bread from 1 lb. 4 ox. of
floor; thus obtaining abont 37 lbs. more of bread
from a barrel of flonr, wbicb, with the saving of
yraat, will ahont balance the cost of the Axumra.
Can be Used for t nv of the following recipes, and
ladies everywhere will be agreeably surpiised with
tL* delicious productions. This excellent compo
sition does not contain a particle or Alnnt, 8abe-
