EVERY DAY.
Bv Ci.axa Hchii, ok Kkstun. Twnr.
We lire each one older growing
Every day;
Down li <•' river swift are rowing.
4'iuery day;
Steered for temples ever standing
We are borne at Rod's commanding,
Nearer—closer to the landing,
Every day.
.O'er their,dead ones some are weeping,
.Every day;
In the churchyard mounds at* heaping,
Every day;
Those but give u pensive token
Tins of love must yet be broken,
And the last farewell bo spoken,
Every day.
We can see the sad and dreary,
Every day;
Meet the burdened onus and weary,
Every day;
Hear t|ie sound of sorrow quaking
Wrung from hearts with anguish aching.
For the hearts of some are breaking
Every day.
Lot our kindly aid be given,
Every day;
To those who ore tempest driven,
Every day;
Words of hope for the despairing,
And .their troubles gladly sharing,
Rive our souls a higher hearing.
Every day.
Let un strive to he forgiving.
Every day;
Let our words be kind and loving,
Every day;
Lot u seeds of God he sowing,
That for Heaven may be growing
Fruits to pay the debt we’re owing
Every day.
Though we sec so much of sadness,
Every day;
Still is heard the voice of gladness.
Every day;
The winds (we tones of joy bringing—
Sweet child laughter glad is ringing—
Happy birds their lays are singing—
Every day
May we all grow wiser, purer,
Every day ;
And ooraacred trust be surer,
Every day;
If our hearts but faithful prove us,
Heaven's £mg w ill better .love us,
And with angels watch above us,
Every day.
Mav the grace of God attend us,
Every day;
And His loving hand befriend us
Every day;
Let our souls renewed hope borrow,
We shall, on some happy morrow
Leave this land, where cometh sorrow
